Apprenticeships are for anyone aged 16+
What is an Apprenticeship?
An Apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to gain relevant, industry-leading technical skills and knowledge, an accredited qualification that is recognised and desired by employers, and an experience which can help you progress.
Whether you are a new recruit or someone who has been employed for a few years or more, your Apprenticeship training is designed to benefit both you and your employer.
There are a wide range of Apprenticeship programmes available – take a look at our list of programmes at the bottom of this page.
Unlike academic courses at university or college, an Apprenticeship allows you to develop your skills and qualifications in the workplace. You will be assigned to a dedicated Trainer Assessor who will provide you with personalised and dedicated support throughout.
20% of your Apprenticeship training is ‘off the job’ which means you’ll either have dedicated time for learning either individually or with a small group of colleagues in a training or meeting room at work or sometimes off-site.
Depending on your chosen job sector, some of your training may take place at a Skills Training UK centre. For example at our Academies for Business, Industry and Technology in Wolverhampton and Birmingham, which are specifically for Apprenticeships in IT and Digital Marketing – click here to find your nearest centre.
How can I apply?
At Skills Training UK, we can help you to find and apply for an Apprenticeship programme with an employer. If you’re already employed, we can support your current employer to deliver an Apprenticeship programme in your workplace.
Take a look at our Apprenticeship programmes below and email us at email@example.com to register your interest.
What our learners say…
24-year-old William Hawksford completed our Performance Manufacturing Operations Apprenticeship with his employer GB Inspections.
“An Apprenticeship was always a route I wanted to go down. I was unhappy in my previous job and there was limited chance to progress, but now I can really see a future. Everyone – GB Inspections and Skills Training UK – has been so supportive. It’s made a real difference.”
