Team Leader or Supervisor Level 3

Good team leaders and supervisors can motivate and manage a team to perform to the best of their ability. Line management can be hugely rewarding and the experience can help you progress your career.

Key responsibilities of Team Leaders or Supervisors often include supporting, managing and developing team members, planning and monitoring workloads, operational delivery, problem solving and relationship building internally and externally.

Team leaders or Supervisors are key to organisational success and work across all industries.

Typical Job Roles: Supervisor, Team Leader, Project Officer, Shift Supervisor, Foreperson, and Shift Manager.

What does an employer need to do?
  • Provide the learner with the opportunity to take part in work and projects which to produce a portfolio of evidence required for Apprenticeship assessment and completion.
  • Take part in progress reviews at regular intervals.
  • Have some involvement in the project(s) being undertaken.
  • Allow the apprentice an agreed amount of classroom time.

Eligibility criteria

For Team Leader or Supervisor Level 3 the individual employer will decide whether an employee is suitable for the programme. There is no standardised eligibility criteria.

Qualifications and professional recognition

Level 3 competency.

End Point Assessment

To successfully complete the apprenticeship, the learner needs to pass an independent End Point Assessment which consists of three distinct assessment methods:
