Our courses for adults are designed to give you new knowledge and skills to boost your chances of finding a job you love and help you achieve more in your career.
Our adult education courses are designed to help you to:
- Achieve a national recognised, vocational qualification
- Help to improve your English and Maths
- Develop your knowledge, skills and employability
- Improve your IT capabilities.
Due to funding restrictions, our current range of courses are for learners based in Greater London and South Yorkshire.
When can I start?
Contact our friendly team who can help you decide which courses are right for you, depending on what you want to achieve.
We teach courses to small groups of learners in every month of the year, so you don’t have to wait to get started. See what’s starting this month in the calendar below.
You can also choose to study several courses at the same time, so you can achieve a lot in a short time.
Learn online or in-person
We have a lot of courses which can be taught and assessed online using our virtual learning platforms.
We also have technical courses which need to be taught face-to-face, at least part of the time, in our centres combined with high-quality, relevant work experience.
Our flexible learning models make it easy to fit your courses around other commitments and to learn when it suits you.
I really enjoyed the free online English and Maths course with Skills Training UK. I’ve enhanced my confidence and understanding of Mathematics as well as speaking, reading, writing and listening. This is all due to my encouraging and skilled tutor who instils confidence in every learner.

Free courses for adults
Some of our courses will apply to specific locations, but these can change depending on what’s popular in a particular area. You can take our courses if you live in South Yorkshire, South East, and Staffordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Herefordshire.

The nationally recognised qualifications you’ll achieve with us will develop your specialist subject knowledge and skills and also prepare you for further study, the workplace and your job search.
One-to-one support
As an alternative to school or college we have some of the same qualifications and some different vocational options. You study in smaller classes with more control over your learning and access to mentoring support if you need it.
Careers advisors
Your careers advisor or a job coach might tell you about us, or refer you directly, as we often partner with colleges, job centres and other specialist trainers to make our courses easier to find and do.
Keep moving forward
We always prepare you for your next steps whether that is further study or into work. We also work with employers to help them find and hire people like you who make great Trainees and Apprentices.
