Supporting Schools and Youth Groups
Skills Training UK is an independent training provider offering a range of vocational training courses funded by the Department for Education and the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
We offer courses and customised Traineeships at Level 1, 2 and 3 which can be delivered both online and in-person at our training centres and academies across the West Midlands, London and Brighton.
Young people can also take our effective Level 2 English and Maths courses, opening up their opportunities for the future.
Class sizes are small, for maximum attention and support, and we enrol all year round.
Our learners also benefit from strong and supportive information, advice and guidance, to help them succeed not only in their courses but in their next steps in life.
Every learner is an individual who matters, and our trainers and teams really do go the extra mile to help them achieve their goals.
Who we help
More than half of the people who join our courses come from deprived backgrounds and many have not reached grade 4 or ‘C’ in English or Maths. Some of them have struggled to progress in mainstream education.
We have proven time and time again that our friendly and experienced tutors and accessible courses can make all the difference to young people.
- Our Mentor-Me programme supports young people who are facing challenging personal circumstances, or struggling with their mental health.
- All tutors have mental health first aid training to help identify those who are struggling and what steps to take to support them.
- One-to-one coaching and mentoring sessions to boost learners’ confidence.
- Bursaries and travel support if the young person is eligible.

Good career guidance can be important for social mobility and every young person should be able to make an informed choice about their future.
We can work with your school to help you deliver the highest standard of careers advice, making sure students are aware of all their options for learning and training upon leaving school.
We have strong working relationships with many schools, but for those we have not yet had the opportunity to support, we are keen to hear from you!
Careers events and mock interviews
Moving on from school or college can be stressful. Skills Training UK can work with you to help young people prepare confidently for their next steps by supporting you with careers events, mock interviews and providing support and information to young people on GCSE results day in August.

Our Centres
Tutors & Exams
Tutors & Exams provides examination and assessment facilities primarily aimed at private and home educated candidates. The company was established in 2014 by a former Examinations Officer and Awarding Organisation Manager with over 25 years’ experience in education administration. In the intervening years Tutors & Exams has evolved into a much valued and respected examination venue.
Tutors & Exams has nationwide coverage with centres located around the country. All are approved for examination delivery by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).
