Mansi targets Business Apprenticeship after award-winning Traineeship success
Mansi Desai has turned her life around thanks to Skills Training UK. She left school unsure about her future and was low on confidence and skills – but now she has a sharp focus on her business career, has achieved industry-recognised qualifications, and has a new level of confidence.
The 18-year-old said: “Before I started with Skills Training UK, my life was very different. I didn’t know what I wanted to do or where I was going to go. I left school and did a course in hairdressing but I still really wasn’t sure what to do next.”
Mansi was recommended by her local Jobcentre Plus – a recommendation which changed her life and laid the groundwork for a fulfilling career in the world of business.
“I loved my journey and really enjoyed all my courses. I learned how to develop my skills, gained a lot of confidence, made a lot of new friends, and received great support from all of my tutors and assessors,” she said.
Skills Training UK helped me with finding and preparing for job interviews, and I enjoyed work experience proof-reading for a self-employed author. It was challenging at times but I learned what it was like to have a job and work in business
