Wembley Stadium winning with Apprenticeships

Wembley Stadium Store is based within the grounds of Wembley Stadium and offers memorabilia and sports products to visitors of the site. Delivering excellent customer service is important to the day to day running of the store.

Skills Training UK have supported Wembley Stadium Store by offering them an Apprenticeship programme in Customer Service at Level 2 that developed the professional abilities of their staff whilst they are working. Skills Training UK’s Trainer Assessors regularly visited the store to give training, assess tasks which were set and give personal support to each apprentice.

Martin Wooldridge, Retail Supervisor, Wembley Stadium Store, says of the training: “Since the start of the Apprenticeship I have gained a full understanding of the importance of having excellent customer service in the work place. The training with Skills Training UK has enabled me to develop as an individual and increase my understanding of the retail industry, which ultimately is going to enhance my opportunities for career progression within the Football Association.”

With the huge profile that the store enjoys, we have always been conscious of the need to present the right image to our customers and to provide them with the highest levels of customer satisfaction possible. The training that the apprentices have undergone with Skills Training UK has resulted in them demonstrating more care and consideration in all aspects of their job.
