Understanding NHS trust’s culture helps to deliver bespoke Apprenticeships

Employees at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust first started Apprenticeships with Skills Training UK at the beginning of 2017.

Staff come from across the Trust’s five sites and from a wide range of departments, including finance, medical records, outpatient clinics and ward areas.

As well as focusing on 5S workplace organisation and quality improvement workshops, those involved with our efficiency toolkit for the NHS have also been able to identify and develop their own quality improvement projects for their specific workspace.

Joanna Fisher, Quality Improvement Fellow at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, said: “All of the participants are really interested in what they do. The training is helping them to understand where changes can be made and how they can improve their own working environment. Not just for their benefit but for the benefit of our patients and the entire team.

If you would like more information on our Apprenticeships for the NHS and how we can help your workforce, email apprenticeships@skillstraininguk.com or call our Apprenticeship hotline on 0800 048 9370.

The Skills Training UK team has been great to work with, taking into account the values and culture of our organisation. Their dedicated trainer-assessor has provided the appropriate level of support.
