Register your interest in our Traineeship programmes! Fill in this short form and we'll get back to you:
Traineeships are for young people aged 16-24 who do not have the qualifications or industry experience to start a full-time job.
Traineeships can help to prepare you for work by equipping you with the necessary skills, confidence and knowledge to progress into employment or an Apprenticeship.
Skills Training UK has developed two types of Traineeships programme which are relevant to employers in Industry and in the Service Sector. They both provide CV writing skills, interview techniques and careers guidance as well as a quality work experience placement with a local employer. Both programmes also include working towards recognised qualifications in English, maths and ICT.
The tailored Traineeships, which have been adapted from the Government’s flagship Traineeships programme, are designed to maximise your chances of securing employment in specific sectors.
Traineeship for Industry
This Traineeship is for those who are looking for a career in Manufacturing, Warehousing, Logistics and Distribution. We have adapted the Traineeships programme to meet the needs of employers, with classroom-based learning paired with quality work experience for a minimum of four weeks (120 hours). There are also opportunities to learn Health and Safety training, work towards an Industrial Environmental Awareness Award and gain an accredited forklift driver’s licence.
Traineeship for the Service Sector
Our Traineeship for the Service Sector is for those looking for a career in Business Admin, Retail or Hospitality. This 6 to 14-week course includes a classroom-based learning programme, where you will be working towards Level 1 and 2 awards, including a quality work experience placement with a local business or high-street employer.
Traineeships with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
We’re working with Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to offer exciting Traineeship opportunities for young people. You’ll receive a quality work experience placement within the NHS and will have the chance to explore a variety of roles, from catering and housekeeping to admin and support work. We’ll also help you achieve qualifications in English and maths, as well as First Aid training.
