Greater Birmingham skills programme

Birmingham City Council has selected Skills Training UK as one of a small number of training partners for the new employee upskilling programme in the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership (GBSLEP) region. The programme aims to transform management expertise, workforce capability and capacity, providing essential tools to help SME’s sustain their performance and productivity.

As a result, we are offering accredited training courses in digital marketing, leadership and management and business improvement skills to employees at SME companies in Birmingham, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Solihull and Wyre Forest.

The training courses lead to industry recognised partial or full qualifications accredited by industry and professional bodies such as the Chartered Management Institute and British Computer Society.

All eligible employers are entitled to a training grant to cover up to 50% of the cost of the training. Grants of between £500 and £18,000 are available.

SME employers in Birmingham, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Solihull and Wyre Forest should get in touch with us as soon as possible to discuss how we can work with you to deliver this training.

We will help you to drive improvement in productivity and performance, inject new skills in areas like digital marketing, and develop your future leaders.

Co-funded by the European Social Fund, The Supplier Skills Programme is a three-year programme designed to upskill new and existing employees within Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and Birmingham City Council has been awarded £12 million from the Department for Work and Pensions to administer the funding.
