Associate Project Manager Level 4

For a project to succeed it needs to be well-managed. Key responsibilities of Associate Project Managers often include managing resources, managing a team, planning and reporting, problem solving and building relationships.

With this Apprenticeship you will develop skills in change management, stakeholder management, scoping, issues and risk management, contract procurement and management and
continuous improvement.

What does an employer need to do?
  • provide the learner with the opportunity to take part in work and projects which to produce a portfolio of evidence required for Apprenticeship assessment and completion.
  • Take part in progress reviews at regular intervals.
  • Have some involvement in the project(s) being undertaken.
  • Allow the apprentice an agreed amount of classroom time.

Eligibility criteria

For Associate Project Manager Level 4 the individual employer will decide whether an employee is suitable for the programme. There is no standardised eligibility criteria.

Qualifications and professional recognition

Level 4 competency.

On completion, apprentices may choose to register as Full Members with the Association for Project Management (APM) to support their professional career development and progression.

End Point Assessment

To successfully complete the apprenticeship, the learner needs to pass an independent End Point Assessment which consists of three distinct assessment methods:

My role as an analyst hasn’t typically included aspects of project management, but the new skill-set has allowed me to work in conjunction with the project management team at the trust and will help me identify new applications for the data I am analysing on a day-to-day basis.
