Our level 2 Non-Destructive Testing Operator and level 3 Non-Destructive Testing Engineering Technician Apprenticeships were launched at the British Institute of Non Destructive Testing (BINDT) national conference in September 2017, with both programmes offering certification in PCN & EN4179 to NDT level 2 standard.
Designed by employers, for employers, the qualifications are proven to bring real, practical benefits – helping to address skills gaps and upskill existing workforces.
We have established partnerships with two AO Approved Schools which are delivering specialist NDT training within our materials testing Apprenticeships – the world leading NDT training school IMechE Engineering Training Solutions (IMechE ETS) and Lavender International.
Cameron Sinclair, BINDT chief executive
The Apprenticeships cover both classroom and online learning, as well as practical applications of NDT. This includes methods such as magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic testing and radiographic testing.
Our long-standing employer client GB Inspection Systems Ltd, which manufactures and designs ultrasonic probes and NDT accessories, was part of the trailblazer group that worked with the BINDT to help set the new Apprenticeships.
